This Privacy Policy describes how FAMTIME ("we," "us," or "our") handles information when you use the FAMTIME iOS app and related services. FAMTIME is a private family messaging app backed by Supabase for authentication and data storage.
Information we collect and use
When you use FAMTIME, we process the following categories of information:
- Account email — used to create and sign in to your account, send password reset emails, and provide account support.
- Display name and profile information — shown to other members of your family so they can identify you in the app.
- Family and group membership — records of which family (organization) you belong to and which conversations you can access.
- Messages and message content — text messages you send and receive within family and group conversations.
- Uploaded message images — photos you choose to send in conversations.
- Profile photos — optional avatar images you upload for your profile.
- Push notification device tokens — Apple Push Notification service tokens used to deliver message alerts to your device when notifications are enabled.
- Service and security logs — limited technical logs generated by our infrastructure providers (for example, authentication events, error logs, and push delivery logs) to operate, secure, and troubleshoot the service.
How we use information
We use this information to:
- Provide account sign-up, sign-in, and password recovery
- Enable family messaging, group chats, and profile features
- Deliver push notifications you have allowed on your device
- Maintain conversation history for your family members
- Protect the security and reliability of the service
- Respond to support requests and legal obligations
What we do not do
- FAMTIME does not show ads.
- FAMTIME does not use third-party advertising or cross-app tracking for marketing purposes.
- We do not sell your personal information.
Sharing and service providers
We use Supabase and Apple services to operate FAMTIME. These providers process data on our behalf to host authentication, database storage, file storage, and push notification delivery. We do not share your messages with unrelated third parties for their own marketing.
Data retention
We retain account and messaging data while your account is active and as needed to provide the service. When you delete your account, we handle data as described in the Account deletion section below.
Account deletion
You can delete your FAMTIME account in the app at Settings → Account → Delete Account. When you confirm deletion:
- Your account and profile data are removed
- Your family memberships are removed
- Your push notification device tokens are removed or deactivated
- Your profile avatar is removed from storage when possible
- Messages you previously sent may remain visible to other family members as anonymized shared conversation history
- Message images you shared may be retained so existing conversations remain readable for other family members
Deletion is permanent. If you cannot access the app, see our Support page for help.
Your choices
- You can update your display name and profile photo in the app.
- You can allow or deny push notifications in iPhone Settings and in the app.
- You can delete your account as described above.
Children
FAMTIME is intended for use by families. If you believe a child has provided personal information without appropriate consent, contact us and we will review the request.
Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page with a revised last updated date.
